The 2023 Netball World Cup will be sponsored by Vitality

The Cape Town International Convention Centre will host the 2023 Netball World Cup, which will take place from July 28 to August 6. Vitality will serve as the official sponsor.

For the first time, the tournament will be held in an African country after 16 editions.

The hosts South Africa, Australia, England, Jamaica, Uganda, and reigning champions New Zealand have already qualified.

According to Firoze Bhorat, chief marketing officer at Discovery Group, which owns Vitality, the tournament aims to encourage South Africans to become more interested in sports.

“We’re thrilled to play a role in hosting the most prestigious event of a sport that’s so loved, both locally and around the world,” said Bhorat.

“As always at Discovery, we remain focused on inspiring South Africans to get more active.

“We believe that through the sport of netball we will be able to inspire South African women and girls to live more active, healthier lives by playing the sport they love.”

The tournament director expressed appreciation to Vitality for sponsoring the event and increasing its exposure.

“It takes sponsors like Vitality to deliver a successful Netball World Cup,” said Masisi.

Clare Briegal, the World Netball chief executive, also expressed her excitement to having Vitality as a partner.

“We are thrilled to have Vitality on board as the title partner for our pinnacle event once again,” said Briegal.

“Vitality, part of the Discovery Group, has been an amazing partner and supporter of the growth of domestic and international netball and their programmes have created real impact at both grass roots and elite levels.”
